Overview

Institutional client: Exmo
Custody provider: Ledger Enterprise
Validator: P2P.org
Technical provider (connector): Colossus Digital

EXMO

Exmo is one of the leading digital asset exchanges in Europe, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and institutional-grade infrastructure. As part of its ongoing expansion into on-chain services, Exmo sought to enable native staking for its customers and treasury management operations without compromising on asset security or regulatory compliance.

P2P.org

P2P.org is a leading non-custodial staking provider that delivers enterprise-grade infrastructure for Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain networks. Trusted by institutional clients, exchanges, and custodians, P2P.org offers secure, reliable, and scalable validator services across 40+ networks, including Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, Solana, and NEAR.

Challenge

Exmo wanted to delegate assets (like Ethereum, Near, Ada, Polkadot etc) to P2P.org, a trusted institutional-grade validator, while ensuring assets always remained in secure custody. Their current custody solution, Ledger Enterprise does not support direct staking to P2P.org validators, so the only alternative would have been to move assets from custody. This would have violated internal risk controls, regulatory requirements, and compromised the exchange’s security framework.

How to access staking yield through P2P.org without moving assets out of custody?

Solution

To address this, P2P.org and Exmo called upon Colossus Digital, leveraging its Institutional Hub to connect custody, validators, and delegation workflows into a single compliant solution.

Using Ledger Enterprise, their custody platform, Exmo was able to onboard onto the Institutional Hub, which serves as a bridge between custodians and validators. The Hub enabled:

  • Direct delegation from custody: Assets remained within Exmo’s Ledger Enterprise environment.

  • Validator access via Institutional Hub: P2P.org is already onboarded on the Institutional Hub, making the integration seamless.

  • Operational transparency and control: Exmo could manage policies, monitor delegations, and review transaction details in real time.

Outcome

Through this setup, Exmo successfully delegated assets to P2P.org without having to exit its custody perimeter. The Institutional Hub ensured that staking was performed:

  • Without asset movement

  • With compliance-ready auditability

  • With full transparency and verifiability of transactions.

This collaboration marks a milestone in making institutional staking both accessible and secure. Exmo can now offer enhanced yield strategies while maintaining strict security and operational standards.

Quotes

“Our mission is to close the gap between custody and yield. Exmo’s deployment demonstrates how the Institutional Hub standardizes delegation, preserves policy enforcement, and delivers real-time transparency, so institutions can scale staking with confidence, with their validator of choice without compromising on security.”
- Lorenzo Barbantini Scanni, Co-Founder & CRO at Colossus Digital

“This collaboration is a clear example of how institutional staking can be done without compromise. By connecting Colossus Digital’s Institutional Hub with Ledger Enterprise custody and P2P.org’s validator infrastructure, EXMO enabled staking directly from custody — ensuring asset security, operational transparency, and full control. It sets a new standard for how exchanges and institutions can scale on-chain services while safeguarding their core infrastructure.”
- Artemity Parshakov, VP of Institutions at P2P.org

"Our goal at EXMO is to stay ahead of the curve by bringing innovative on-chain services to the market. With P2P.org and Colossus Digital, we’ve created a model that combines operational transparency with enterprise-grade infrastructure. This partnership highlights our commitment to shaping the future of institutional staking in a secure and compliant way."
- Mike Blank,  CEO at EXMO.com

Conclusion

Exmo achieved native staking with P2P.org validator directly from Ledger Enterprise custody. Colossus Digital’s Institutional Hub served as the secure connector between custody and validator. Staking operations are now fully compliant, traceable, and policy-driven.
